After i received my SPM result, i was so confused about my studies,because it is the most important decision in my life which will determine my future. Should i study Form 6? No! i do not want to suffer for another two years!And, i was thinking, if i fail in STPM, i will be wasting my time! At the end i have decided to study in MMU.But, the next problem that i faced is, which course should i take? i was so reluctant to choose any science related subjects since my results of the three main science subjects in SPM were not so good. Finally, Foundation In Management is my last choice and I hope i didn't make the wrong decision.
30th of May, was the registration day for new students, on the "BIG"day, i went to MMU with my dad and mum.I was so excited when i reached there, because everything in MMU were so fresh to me. Actually i did not know how to go to the registration place, but luckily all of the seniors were so helpful to guide us to the CLC hall.After getting my temporary identity card, immediately i took my baggage to my new hostel and went back to my hometown.Actually, the orientation week was started on next day of registration day, but a lot of my senior said "no need to join the orientation, because it is useless for you, just waste your time only." So, i listened to their good "advice".
However, my friends invited me to attend the 1st day of orientation week, due to my curiosity, i accepted their invitation. We reached MMU at 8:30 am.,but actually the orientation was started at 7.00 am. So,when we reached there, we were scolded by the orientation committee! "WHY all of you late? WHY all of you wear your own shirt? WHY all of you did not wear the MMU's T-shirt?!" We all just keep silent, after that, the orientation commitee brought us to the big CLC lecture hall. There were so many new student wearing the MMU's T-shirt, sitting in the hall. We felt so shameful because we were wearing the different shirts from them.After we watched the performances, there was an hour of lunch time, we take advantage of the time and run away from MMU! (Yes,i am a bad student, i admit.XD).And we just attended the orientation week for 1 day only.
I had register 4 subjects namely Business Mathematic, English I, Accounting I and Principles of Economics. Last time, i was a science stream's student, so i have no basic knowledge on acconting and economics. These 2 subjucts really make me so troubled. Everytime when the lecturer are teaching, i could not concentrate at all, because there are a lot of question marks appearing around my head!Luckily, my classmates are willing to help me to do the revision, really thanks them a lot!As my opinion, i think Business Mathematics is similar to the Additional Mathematic that i learnt before. So, Business Mathematics is easier for me compared to others subjects. I also likes the english class, Miss Jasline is so humorous, patient and friendly. When she is teaching in class, i can concentrate on it because she is so humorous and always make us laugh.
I have been studying in MMU for 8 weeks, but i think i still can't suit myself without my family members.Although my hometown is near to Malacca, but i still can't stop missing my family.I know that, i should be more independent.Before i come here to study, i thought it will be very hard for me to make new friends.But in reality, it is beyond my expectation. In my class ,i have made many friends who are very nice and helpful.When we have free times, we will do our revision in library.Besides that, we also take lunch or dinner together, they make me feel that i am not alone in my university life.
Lastly, i think MMU is a good university for me and i will suit myself in MMU life as quickly as possible.I will also put more effort on my 2 weak subject which are Accounting and Principle of Economics.I will try my best to complete my foundation studies.
